My name is Lena Ferreira. I currently work as a mathematics teacher at Lowell High School, from which I graduated with Stacy in 2002. Stacy was always so upbeat and would take any chance she could get to share stories and ideas. It was heartbreaking to hear that her life and all her plans had been cut short as we were all preparing to begin our new journey in college. So I am honored to have the opportunity to help her memory live on with the help of her friends and family to accomplish all of her dreams. I remember that Stacy and I both had busy schedules in and out of school. My goal is to help other youth have the same opportunities and more in which to expand their horizons and potential, both in and out of the classroom.
